Second Grade Friday News - January 9

SECOND GRADE FRIDAY NEWS

Our chapel offerings this quarter will be used to buy cheerful items for the residents of Briarwood Nursing home.

We are learning cursive writing!  Your children have worked hard in the last week to learn to write their first names in cursive.  All are doing a great job.  We will continue for the remainder of the school year practicing all the cursive letters.

Our “big” memory work for the third quarter is to name all the books of the Bible.  We are singing the song each day and most students will do better when they are tested if they sing the books rather than say them.  Let’s try to master the Old Testament books by mid February and then the New Testament by the end of the quarter.  They already know these pretty well from first grade.
