Field Trip to Heifer International

We learned a lot on our field trip to Heifer International.  We learned how the gift of an animal can help people who are poor and hungry through the 7 M's.  We presented a check from CLS to buy a goat, some rabbits, some ducks, and a flock of geese.

Watch for your child’s STAR reading test results to come home on Monday.  Your child’s AR goal for this quarter will be written at the bottom of the report.  Please help your child reach this goal for the first quarter.  All students need to pass at least one test each week.  You can sign up to follow your child’s AR progress online.

Your child’s spelling grade is determined from the combination of the Friday spelling test, a sentence dictation test, workbook pages, and their spelling in their daily writing.  All of these are important for spelling success.
