Visiting China

In social studies, we have been traveling around the world learning about each continent.  This month, we are visiting the continent of Asia.  Our first graders had an opportunity to learn about China from one of our students and his parents.  We learned to eat with chopsticks and sampled some tasty noodles.  We also learned about the Chinese New Year and made masks to represent our birth year.  These first graders were all born in the Year of the Dog or the Year of the Rooster.
