Second Grade Friday News

Chapel offerings until October 8 will go to Food for Kids.  Please bring food items from the list to help feed hungry children in central Arkansas.

We have two new student computers, so we are ready to take AR tests in our classroom.  All students need to pass at least one test each week.  You can sign up to follow your child’s AR progress online.

Your child’s spelling grade is determined from the combination of the Friday spelling test, a sentence dictation test, workbook pages, and their spelling in their daily writing.  All of these are important for spelling success.

Dates to remember:

Fri., Aug. 29      Book orders due – You may order and pay online.  Our class code is DRGL3. 

        Mon., Sept. 1     Labor Day, No school

        Tues, Sept. 2     Walking Club begins after school

**Watch for more information about these 2^nd and 3^rd grade field trips.  We will need drivers.
