Each first grader brought a favorite picture book to school along with an object to go with the book. We read the books aloud and listened while each student explained their object. There were stuffed animals - a pig, a cat, a duck,and a crab. Sleeping Beauty, Barbie, and Spiderman made an appearance, too. Two children brought model airplanes and one brought a small globe. One child brought two snakes - plastic, of course. We even had a tissue to go along with the book,
The Flea's Sneeze. We drew pictures about our books and wrote a sentence to go with it.
